Ingredients
one and a half cups of Jasmine rice
one third of a cup of plain flour
three quarters of a teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
one and a half teaspoons of sea salt
1 teaspoon ground white pepper
750g chicken breast fillets (cut into thin strips)
145ml peanut oil
a few bunches of mixed Asian greens
half a cup of oyster sauce
Method
1.Bring large saucepan of water to the boil. Add the rice and cook until soft. Drain well.
2.Meanwhile combine the flour, five-spice, salt, and pepper in a large bowl. Toss the chicken strips in the flour until well coated.
3. Heat 3 tablespoons of oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken in batches and cook until browned. Drain on paper towel.
4. Heat the remaining oil and add the chopped Asian greens. Stir until wilted. Then add the Oyster sauce. Toss through.
5. Serve on a bed of Jasmine rice.
